Rooney could hit a century against his old club Everton
Rooney’s bright start in the Premier League commenced years ago when he scored his first professional career goal against the Gunners in an Everton jersey.
The 23-year-old striker has now developed himself with Manchester United from a simple number 8 youngster to an influential number 10 ace.
Rooney bagged his 98th and 99th Manchester United goals against West Bromwich Albion and Celtic respectively. The striker had two clear goals controversially disallowed in both games, meaning that Manchester United’s third goal in Tuesday’s Champions League match would have been Rooney’s 100th.
Coincidentally, Rooney has now been given the opportunity to hit a century against his old club Everton in Saturday’s early kick-off.

What about now?
Baby Rooney is a matured and happy man now. The English striker received more critics than praises from supporters in these last couple of years.
The response to all these certainly took time to come, but now, Rooney can enjoy the best of him. The player was on the scoring sheet on Saturday in Manchester United’s game against Blackburn, meaning that he has scored three times in three consecutive appearances.
There were fears that he would not be able to feature in Saturday’s league game after he picked up a knee injury in midweek. However, Rooney passed the fitness test that enabled him to play against Blackburn.
English fans can rejoice because if Rooney keeps this good form, then there is more hope for the Three Lions to qualify easily for the 2010 World Cup.
