It was another great show for the Red Devils fans at the weekend as their team stole 3 more points from Tottenham Hotspurs in other to maintain their lead at top of the Barclays Premier League table.

Both sides drew 0-0 this season when they met, back in December. However, no one can forget the controversy that took place when the referee disallowed a goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in the second half; therefore, Manchester United’s match against Tottenham on Saturday evening was expected to be a revenge for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.

The first half didn’t give anything positive to the Mancunians. Daren Bent scored the opener, before Lucas Modric added a second one. However, Harry Redknapp was completely unaware that his boys were living a great illusion.

The second half then proved to be much more productive for the Red Devils, and their fans didn’t have to wait too long before Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo pulled a goal back for his side from the penalty spot – this time, a real goal.

Minutes later, the English man Wayne Rooney got the equalizer, thanks to a superb strike that terrible Gomes couldn’t keep. Then it was Ronaldo’s moment to give Manchester United the lead.

Shortly after that, Wayne Rooney again hit the back of the net to increase the lead. Manchester United were all over the place and there was no way Spurs were going to get back into the game – Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were just on fire.

Unfortunately for the Londoners, Berbatov also got his name on the scoring sheet, making the final score line 5-2.

The Red Devils are now clear favorite to win the EPL title, and their supporters can then rely on Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo for Wednesday’s Champions League game against Arsenal, who were also winners at the weekend….
