Well done Rooney!

A 1-0 win at Old Trafford against Arsenal last night, was sufficient for Wayne Rooney to feel rewarded.

Rooney didn’t had the chance to increase his number of goals tally in the Champions League, however, he accomplished is task of tormenting the Gunners’ defense; and that was not an easy assignment.

Just as many expected, Rooney was deadly in attack. In the first minute of the game, he had an opportunity to put the Red Devils in front, but his header was denied by Almunia.

The relentless number 10 kept inflicting pressure on his opponents, even after O’Shea gave his side the lead on 17 minutes.

The English man completed several true balls, and his breathtaking runs and body strength were real signs of United’s power in the front.

His display wasn’t less entertaining in the second half, nevertheless, with Arsenal’s players crowed in their own half, the score was likely to remain unchanged.

Eventually, a goal advantage is enough for Manchester United fans to keep their hopes of reaching the final alive. As for Wayne Rooney himself, he has all the reasons to be fully confident and positive for next Tuesday’s second leg match at the Emirates Stadium.
