Manchester United vs Tottenham: Wayne Rooney Believes Premier League and Victory Are Possible
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney looks quite positive ahead of Manchester United’s game at home this weekend to Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League. Wayne Rooney played a big part of Manchester United’s 1-0 over Manchester City last week, while Tottenham Hotspurs defeated Chelsea to raise the hopes of the Devils.
Speaking to the press about United’s chances of winning against Tottenham this weekend and the Premier League, this is what Rooney said:
“It was a great weekend (against City). To beat Manchester City in the last minute was excellent, and then Tottenham went and made the day even better for us by beating Chelsea.
“The title race is back on and now it is between us and Chelsea. We need to win our three games and hope Chelsea slip up somewhere in the league.
“But we are really feeling confident. The win over City has definitely helped the club and I think you could tell what it meant to us by looking at the celebrations after the final whistle.
“We totally are focused on getting nine points from our final three games, that’s all we can do. “Then if Stoke, Liverpool or Wigan can do us a favor then we’d be grateful! But all we can do currently is just win our games and hope for the best.”
