The Manchester United star Wayne Rooney spoke to the press after Manchester United’s glorious 3-1 Premier League victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
A video published on the BBC Sport website showed Rooney saying that he was very glad about the Red Devils’ performance, and that he and his team mates controlled their challenge against the Gunners perfectly.
“I am very delighted to have won the game today, and I scored…” Wayne Rooney declared.
“It is always difficult to play at Arsenal (Emirate Stadium). I enjoy the fact that we’re playing well. We are getting better and better and I hope this continues.
Being asked on his achievement of scoring 100 goals in the Premier League, Rooney went on to say:
“I’m very proud of it, and hopefully there’s a lot more to come. It’s great for myself and my fans.
“Today is our (Manchester United) best performance in the season.”
Rooney’s Manchester United still have an active run in the UEFA Champions League, the Carling Cup, and of course, in the English Premier League.
