Better luck next time, Wayne Rooney!

Rooney extremely disappointed...

United lost by two goals to nil in the Champions League final, and truthfully, the game was one of their most unenthusiastic games this season.

Following their defeat, Cristiano Ronaldo was the Manchester United player who seemed to be the most crowded by journalists; but eventually, the English striker Wayne Rooney was also among the people who shared his team’s sorrow.

While speaking to the media, the number 10 talismanic forward expressed his disappointment towards the negative result.

“It is a big disappointment but Barcelona were the better team,” he said.

“Barcelona scored two good goals and unfortunately for us, they came at good times. That made it very difficult for us.

Wayne Rooney then went on to justify their loss by admitting Barcelona’s greatness.

“Barcelona are a brilliant team. Andres Iniesta is the best player in the world in my opinion,” he confessed.

“If you don’t take your chances against them, they will punish you and that is what has happened.”

“It is very disappointing and the feeling at the moment is not a good one. We are hurting. But we have to forget it and look forward to next season.”

Indeed, next season might be a better one with a better end for the Mancunians; but in the meantime, there is still a lot to learn, as the English champions are hoping to overturn their poor finish in the coming season.
