When Wayne Rooney was absence from ManUtd last match against Blackburn, many people questioned the reason behind it. The rumor that later spread in public, is that Ferguson was furious with Rooney for disciplinary reason.
Wayne Rooney is reportedly had a dinner with his other 2 teammates, Darron Gibson and Jonny Evans plus their partners at Boxing day, a day after Christmas. It was a simple dinner, and nothing more. But apparently Fergie overheard about it on the training session the next day, and felt that they have disobeyed his rules for not to be seen out, and to have a rest. Fergie then punished Rooney with a week salary fine of £250,000 for the action, and scratch his name for the Blackburn teamlist.
However, Manchester United quickly denied the rumor. Coach Ferguson explained that Wayne Rooney wasn’t in his best condition, therefore he had to be rested, and hopefully will be fit back in Wednesday. Surely Fergie needs a better excuse to convince their fans, who got disappointed with ManUtd lost over Blackburn.
