Everton 3-1 Manchester United: No Miracle From Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney might have been the man of the match in last week’s Champions League clash between AC Milan and Manchester United at the San Siro, but it was just not the case at the weekend for him against Everton at the Goodison Park.
Manchester United first took the lead through their Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, but they were suddenly shocked by subsequent goals from Everton – who went on to sink the Red Devils 3-1 before the final whistle.
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov cancelled United’s 16th-minute lead on 19 minutes to make the score line level at half time, but after the break, Everton seemed to have obtained super power to upset the Premier League title contenders.
Dan Gosling put Everton in front in the 71th minute, and late in the game, Jack Rodwell killed off the visitors Manchester United by making the score line 3-1. This was the final result, and with no Wayne Rooney on target for the Mancunians, the party couldn’t be on for Man Utd.
