The Rooneys Become Parents
According to a spokesman who followed the scenes, Wayne Rooney relentlessly refused to leave his wife at any moment; and having decided to miss this morning training with Manchester United, the Old Trafford star continuously held his wife’s hand the whole of her labor.
“Mother and baby are both absolutely fine. Wayne and Coleen are thrilled with the wonderful addition to their family life,” the spokesman however said.
A source close to the family also revealed that Wayne Rooney was in tears when his wife Coleen handed over the newly-born baby, which reportedly weighted 8lb 2oz.
“Wayne was a star with Coleen,” the source told Daily Mail.
“He didn’t leave her side from the moment she came into the hospital.”
‘When Col gave birth, Wayne’s eyes welled up. As soon as he was handed the baby, the tears began.
‘He was over the moon and was saying “I can’t believe it.’”
Along with the overwhelmed couple were members from both sides’ families. Colette McLoughlin (Coleen’s mother), as well as Wayne’s brother Graham and cousin Claire were all at the new parents’ side, bringing them support, comfort, and flowers.
Having been touched by such a unique moment in his life, Wayne Rooney is very much likely to miss Manchester United’s Champions League game against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night, as he would certainly love to accompany Coleen and the baby home and spend more time with them, in a little bit more than 24 hours.
Coleen Rooney’s decision not to give birth in a private clinic is surely what will boost her fans’ positive estimation for her, as many other WAG choose to be treated differently; considering their positions in the world of entertainment.
According to members of the family, the baby boy was named Kai Wayne Rooney by his parents. The name is said to have origins from Wales, Scandinavia, and Greece; and means nothing but “keeper of the keys”.
In Hawaiian, the name Kai means “the sea”…
Well, with such a name, let’s see what he will become when he grows up…
