Lionel Messi Is The Best, Says PFA Player Of The Year Wayne Rooney

Manchester United and newly-crowned 2010 PFA Player of the Year Wayne Rooney has affirmed that Barcelona star Lionel Messi was the best player in the world. In an interview after his ceremony, this is what Rooney said:

“It’s nice that people put me up there but I think Messi is the best. The things he can do with the ball are unbelievable and he’s scoring a lot of goals, also.

“He’s been fantastic again this year. He’s the best player in the world at the moment.”

Rooney has 26 goals in the Premier League, whereas Lionel Messi has 27 goals in La Liga as of April 26.
