Rooney: “I am a team player”

English striker Wayne Rooney has gone two games without scoring a goal for the Red Champions whose aim is to defend their EPL title.

Ronaldo’s absence has mounted enormous pressure on the 22-year-old player. However, Rooney insists that the judging of his performance should not be made over his goals statistics only.

The striker had a good performance in midfield against Portsmouth on Monday and although he has failed to hit the back of the net since he came back from injury, it doesn’t seem to affect so much Man United, which have twice been saved by Fletcher..
