Rooney and Man Utd ready to bounce back from their defeat last weekend.

Manchester United will hope to bounce back from the humiliating defeat they suffered last weekend against Liverpool with a win at Craven Cottage. United will face Fulham for the third time this season, however they can be assured that things will be easier for them as their previous meetings all ended in their favor.

However, manager Sir Alex Ferguson refuses to be flattered by confidence. With Vidic, Brown and Da Silva all unavailable for the game, the coach options seem to have reduced, but he has not much to worry about as his top players in front are all ready for battle.

Obviously, Wayne Rooney won’t be left out of the starting XI. The English striker wasn’t at his best last Saturday at Anfield, but he will hope to take this opportunity to raise his fans’ spirits with a good display.

Unfortunately, Rooney won’t be able to partner with his fellow-striker Carlos Tevez like he did in his side’s 3-0 win over Fulham in the FA Cup, but he could still use the services of Ronaldo, Berbatov and Park to enhance his game and snatch a victory for his team.

Thus, the number 10 forward will hope to execute his role faultlessly in order to keep the margin at the top of the table, and to be assured that he is still the same great and strong player that his fans knew earlier this season.
