Rooney could hit a century against his old club Everton
0 views 24 October 2008Rooney’s bright start in the Premier League commenced years ago when he scored his first professional career goal against the Gunners in an Everton jersey.
The 23-year-old striker has now developed himself with Manchester United from a simple number 8 youngster to an influential number 10 ace.
Rooney bagged his 98th and 99th Manchester United goals against West Bromwich Albion and Celtic respectively. The striker had two clear goals controversially disallowed in both games, meaning that Manchester United’s third goal in Tuesday’s Champions League match would have been Rooney’s 100th.
Coincidentally, Rooney has now been given the opportunity to hit a century against his old club Everton in Saturday’s early kick-off.
