Rooney readies for Sunday’s Mancunian derby

0 views 28 November 2008

180 minutes of football without putting a ball past the goal line is something that really troubles Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United were unable to score against Aston Villa and Villareal in their last two matches and their number 10 hopes to deliver all the goals that he should have scored during these games.

Rooney remains a goal shy of a 100 and is yet to break his poor run of 6 matches without scoring a single goal.

The 23 year old forward knows the importance of Sunday’s clash away to their local rivals.

“It is a massive game, especially after what has happened at City with the takeover. It will be nice to show them who the Kings of Manchester are,” the striker told the media.

Rooney, who has been training hard for this encounter, will want to fulfil his wish: Trounce Man City with a flurry of goals.
