Manchester United surprised everyone on Sunday when they came from 2-1 down to win the match 3-2 in the last minutes of the game against Aston Villa at Old Trafford. However, it was not the perfect day for Wayne Rooney who was unable to feature in the game.
Rooney was sent off in United’s previous game against Fulham, after he hurled the ball back at the referee. Nevertheless, he didn’t have to worry too much in the end – his side was able to convince their supporters of their capability to succeed in their next game in Europe.
The Mancunians will face FC Porto at home in the first leg of the last 16 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday; and the good news is that their key player Wayne Rooney is set to play the full 90 minutes.
Of course, Rooney is well aware of how much his fans will expect from him. Therefore, the most important thing for him will be to pay his dues by showing his dangerous side.
Eventually, no one knows how things will turn out; nonetheless, every United fan will hope to see his side take a great advantage at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
