English Knight Wayne Rooney helps Man United become World Champions.
For the fist time ever in the history of the competition, a British club has won the Fifa World Club Cup. Who else could have been behind the Mancunian’s triumph, but the English boy Wayne Rooney?
The number 10 striker scored Manchester United’s only goal in Sunday’s final to his side defeat Ecuador’s LDU Quito.
Statistic’s show that Rooney scored half of United’s entire number of goals in the competition, making him the tournament’s top scorer with 3 goals.

Rooney champions with Manchester United
Wayne Rooney played major parts of the game but Sir Alex decided to replace him with Nani after playing 102 minutes. The Mirror gave Rooney a 7 in rating, saying:
“Produced his customary superhuman work-rate and belligerence on the ball, which gives United such a cutting edge.”
Rooney could then witness the drama from the bench where Manchester United finally won the final beating Chelsesa 6-5 on penalties after a penalty miss by Anelka.
